We are an Evangelical Church holding to the Apostles' Creed and proclaiming Christ's death until he comes. We believe in the inerrancy of the Scriptures, the Great Commission, and loving our neighbors as ourselves. We are not perfect but the gospel is our focus and the Holy Spirit is our guide. 
Resurrection Church is also a new congregation in Knox County. Our goals include fellowship, loving God and loving people, sharing the word with one another, baptizing and distributing the elements of the Lord's Table, and building friendships in faith, hope, and charity. We are a community of believers, hoping to imitate Jesus' command that we love our neighbors as ourselves. Evangelizing the lost is among our core values. 
 
How Resurrection Church was formed: 
 In the Winter of 2025, a few believers in Christ came together with a vision of starting this church. Our goals with this church are to reach out to the community by showing love, compassion, and care. Resurrection Church was started with the goal of being broadly Evangelical and gospel centered while emphasizing the core values of Christianity. This congregation's purpose is to disciple the people of Knoxville with a biblical vision of who we are and how God sees us. We find hope in our risen Savior, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Another desire of ours is to reach out to the community so that we can fellowship together, grow together, and love one another through the love of Christ. We want to connect people with other believers who have a desire to build relationships and enjoy activities at church and grow together as a body of believers. As Christians, we wish to show the empathy of Christ toward others. The world is full of broken people, hungry for healing, and anxious for friendship. We wish to befriend, teach, and share with others. Eventually, as we continue to grow, we hope to emphasize small groups for believers congregating and learning about the word of God. Right now, we are still a grassroots movement, looking for people to get involved and contribute to our church body.

What we believe: 
=We believe there is only one God, and He has chosen to reveal Himself as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
=We believe man was created in the image of God and the sin of Adam (the first man) marred that image, creating an eternal divide between God and man. Every person is born in sin.
=We believe the only way a person can have a true, forgiven relationship with God is through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary and conceived by the Holy Spirit. Jesus became man without ceasing to be God. Our right standing with God is made sure because of His literal, physical resurrection.
=We believe in the literal, physical return of Jesus to judge the living and the dead. 
=We believe God offers eternal life as a free gift and that it must be received by faith alone through God’s grace alone. The life that comes from this gift is a permanent possession of the one receiving it.
=We believe the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of believers on mission to enlarge God’s kingdom. The local church is autonomous, free of any external authority of control.
=We believe believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the two ordinances of the church.
